May I suggest your History and Culture section include the works of Hilda Ellis Davidson, especially "Gods and Myths of Northern Europe" aka "Gods and Myths of the Viking Age". There's a lot of good stuff about the Vanir in there, particularly the connections between Nerthus, Freyr, and Njordh. -E-
